Description:
You channel magic to search for specific information within a library, archive, magical codex, or even the memory of a willing creature within range. Specify a clear query as you cast the spell. The spell scours the targeted source for relevant details and delivers the findings telepathically or through glowing runes that form before you.
Make an Intelligence (Arcana) check. The result determines the depth and accuracy of the information you receive:
- 10-15: You uncover basic information relevant to your query.
- 16-20: You gain moderately detailed insights and connections to related topics.
- 21-25: You obtain precise, thorough information, potentially including obscure or hidden details.
If the spell interacts with a sentient mind, the creature can resist by making an Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC. On a success, the inquiry fails for that creature.
The Intelligence check is made with advantage if the query pertains to a topic you are proficient in, and with disadvantage if the query is outside your area of expertise.
The check also suffers penalties if the information is particularly obscure, hidden, or protected by powerful magic within the source:

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the range increases by 10 feet for each slot level above 2nd, allowing you to query larger archives or multiple minds simultaneously. Additionally you gain a +1 bonus to your Intelligence (Arcana) check for each slot level above 2nd.
