Illusion Override
“Come on, you can do better than that. Let me add some flare to it.” - Thunlen, Drawven Bard overwriting a minor illusion of a rival bard.
1st-level Illusion
Classes: Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: Verbal, Somatic
Duration: Instantaneous
Description:
You attempt to overwrite a minor illusion or existing illusory magic with your own. Choose one illusion or illusion spell within range that is of 1st level or lower. Make an Arcana check contested by the original caster’s spell save DC or the DC of the illusion (if it’s an effect without a specific save). On a success, your own illusion magic overrides the original, replacing it with a new illusion of your choice, as if you had cast the new spell in place of the original. The new illusion must be of the same level or lower, and its effect can be no more powerful than the original. The original caster or any observers who are aware of the change may attempt to discern the manipulation through an Intelligence (Investigation) check opposed by your Arcana check.
At Higher Levels:
There is no additional effect when you cast this spell using a higher-level spell slot.
